behold, "the owen"- macaroni and cheese. fresh, thinly sliced jalapenos. BACON. creamy bechamel. thin and crisp crust blistered and dark in some spots.

leon bistro, a tasty sunday brunch

the mister and i don't go out to breakfast that often, maybe once a month or every other month, but when we do it is usually to cafe coda or (occasionally) morning thunder cafe when we want some diner food. we used to frequent leon bistro for breakfast and dinner, but then they stopped offering breakfast (that was a sad, sad day for us). they just recently re-opened on sunday mornings, offering brunch from 10-3, and that was a happy, happy day for us.

(that chico chai macaroon is ridiculously good, as is their lavender macaroon.)

haydock's

the mister and i have been wanting to go to haydock's for a couple months now and we were finally able to meet there for lunch today. we heard that they have some mean bbq going on there and we love a good smoked, grilled or bbq anything!
